Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect

When you register for Smart QR Menu, we collect your email address, password (stored as a secure hash), and restaurant name. When guests use your digital menu, we collect anonymous usage data including table number, language preference, and action type (waiter call, bill request, etc.). We do not collect guest names, contact information, or payment details.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to provide and improve the Smart QR Menu service, send Telegram notifications to your staff, generate analytics about table activity, and communicate important service updates. We do not sell your data to third parties.

3. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely on Supabase (PostgreSQL) infrastructure hosted in the European Union. We use industry-standard encryption for data in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and at rest. Access to your restaurant data is restricted by Row Level Security policies.

4. Cookies and Local Storage

We use browser localStorage to remember your language preference and admin session. No third-party advertising cookies are used. You can clear localStorage at any time through your browser settings.

5. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services: Supabase (database and authentication), Vercel (hosting), Telegram Bot API (staff notifications), and Anthropic Claude API (automatic menu translation). Each service has its own privacy policy.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time. To exercise these rights, contact us at hello@smartqrmenu.com. We will respond within 30 days.

7. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Guest interaction logs are retained for 90 days for analytics purposes. Upon account deletion, all associated data is permanently deleted within 30 days.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
